Vanishing Rangelands

This is an investigative report conducted in 2012 about the scope of the rangelands lost to other land uses in Tanzania.

This 2016 study maps out some intellectual, empirical, and evidence-based analysis of the socio-economic contributions of traditional or indigenous pastoralism.

The study assesses the status of violation of human rights in 6 sampled districts (Hanang, Simanjiro, Same, Lindi-Rural, Kiteto and Bagamoyo) which are predominantly occupied by pastoralists; agro-pastoralists and hunter-gatherers. (2012-2016)

A case-based report of human rights violation in Loliondo Division, Ngorongoro District. It is conducted in November 2017 as a follow-up assessment on the state of affair of the villagers after an attempt to evict them from their traditional lands from August 2017.

An objective to this study includes to assess the impact of climate change on the existing traditional and government land use patterns in P&H-G communities. These include grazing, hunting and gathering patterns.
