Good Governance & Human Rights

Three Fundamental Good Governance issues necessary for the well-being of Indigenous Peoples’ policies, laws, and strategies need to be in place to protect, promote and defend the rights of these vulnerable and marginalized groups.

Gender & Youth Empowerment

Gender issues and youth empowerment are essential to ensuring the full participation and engagement of all members of indigenous communities. Women, Men and young people are often the most vulnerable and marginalised members of the Indigenous Peoples Communities and face uniquechallenges.

Envinronment & Climate Change

The impact of climate change on indigenous communities cannot be overstated. Many of these communities rely on land and natural resources for livelihoods, and climate change threatens to disrupt this traditional way of life.

Socio-Economic Relief & Empowerment

Indigenous Peoples often face significant economic and social challenges, including poverty, limited access to education, and lack of essential services. Addressing these challenges is critical to empowering these communities and improving their well-being.

Research, Documentation & Information Dissemination

Documentation, dissemination and promotion of traditional knowledge and best practices are central to keeping the socio-cultural heritage of
Pastoralists and Hunter-Gatherers of Tanzania, as well as advancing land, human and resource rights.
